‘Murphy’s Law’ still at the top

‘Murphy’s Law’ directed by Rambod Javan has reached a new high in sales as it maintains its position as the top grossing film in Iranian cinema.

Based on a recent media report, the film has grossed over 100 billion rials since its premiere in late December, while continuing its reign on the Iranian box office.

In its first week of screening, the film had broken records by exceeding 10 billion rials in sales after only four days of screening.

In a recent interview with ifilm, Rambod Javan highlighted the location, visual effects, as well as the content of the film as the reasons for its remarkable success.

 ‘Murphy’s Law’ is a film about a man who travels to the north of the country in order to find a girl who was abducted, facing various unexpected events in the process.

In addition to Rambod Javan who is directing his third movie in which he stars in, the action-packed comedy also features notable Iranian actors Amir Jafari, Amir Jadidi, Hadi Kazemi, Sirous Gorjestani, Anahita Dargahi, Arsha Aqdasi and Soroush Sehhat.

Rambod Javan made his directing debut with 'Spaghetti in 8 minutes' and received a Fajr International Film Festival Crystal Simorgh for Best Actor in a Supporting Role for 'Sinners'.

The award-winning actor-director also played a role in the series ‘Medical Building’ which was recently aired on ifilm.
